Your gift helps a neighbor with a disability live the life they choose.

Why Your Gift Matters

Every year, more than 1,500 people in Ottawa and Allegan counties turn to Disability Network Lakeshore. Some are learning to cook and budget so they can live on their own for the first time. Some are coming home from a nursing facility. Some just need a wheelchair for a few weeks — or a friend who understands what life with a disability is really like.

We never charge individuals for our services. Not for skills classes. Not for peer support. Not for borrowed equipment. That promise is only possible because of neighbors like you.

When you give, you are not giving to a program. You are giving to a person — someone in your own community who wants what we all want: to participate, contribute, and belong.

What Your Gift Can Do

Every dollar stays local and goes to work right here on the Lakeshore. Here are real examples of what gifts like yours make possible.

$25

Helps clean and repair a donated walker or shower chair so our Loan Closet can lend it — free — to the next neighbor who needs it.

$50

Supports a one-on-one session where someone learns a daily living skill — like cooking, budgeting, or riding the bus — that builds real independence.

$100

Connects a family to the resources they need after a new diagnosis, with a caring guide who has been there.

$250

Helps someone move out of a nursing facility and back into a home of their own, with the skills and support to stay there.

$500

Sponsors a peer support group for a season — a place where people with disabilities encourage each other and nobody has to explain themselves.

Any amount

Every gift, large or small, keeps our individual services 100% free for people with disabilities in Ottawa and Allegan counties.

From all of us at Disability Network Lakeshore — thank you. Since 1992, this community has stood with its neighbors with disabilities, and every gift is a vote for a Lakeshore where everyone belongs. Whether you give once or every month, you are part of that story now. We are grateful for you.
