Analytics and Measurement Cookies
Our website uses Google Tag Manager to load two Google measurement tools:
- Google Analytics: helps us understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and for how long. It sets cookies (with names beginning with _ga, _gid, or _gat) that assign your browser a random identifier so repeat visits can be counted. It does not tell us who you are.
- Google Ads conversion measurement: when we run outreach ads through Google, these cookies (with names beginning with _gcl) tell us whether an ad brought someone to our site, so we can spend our nonprofit's outreach budget wisely.
Google receives this measurement data and processes it under Google's privacy policy. We use it only in aggregate to improve our website and outreach. We do not sell information about your browsing, and we do not show ads on this website.
Your Consent Choice (Cookie Banner)
These measurement tools load only if you accept them. On your first visit, our cookie banner asks you to accept or decline analytics cookies; nothing loads until you accept. Your choice is saved on that browser and the banner does not appear again after you decide.
- You can change your choice anytime with the control on our Your Privacy Choices page. Declining, or turning analytics off after accepting, takes effect immediately and removes these cookies from your browser.
- Turn on Global Privacy Control (GPC) in your browser or a browser extension. When your browser sends the GPC signal, our pages do not load the measurement tools at all, and the cookie banner is not shown, because your browser has already answered for you.
- Block or delete cookies for this site in your browser settings; the site works fully without these cookies.
What We Store on Your Device
Our site saves a small amount of information in your browser's own storage (called "local storage"), only to make the site work better for you:
- Accessibility settings: if you use our accessibility widget to change text size, spacing, colors, or other display options, your choices are saved so the site looks the same on your next visit.
- Your cookie banner choice: whether you accepted or declined analytics cookies is saved so the banner does not ask you again and your choice is respected on every page.
None of this identifies you personally.
Spam Protection (reCAPTCHA)
Our contact and privacy request forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps us tell real visitors apart from automated spam programs. We use the invisible version, so there are no puzzles or tests to complete. When you use one of our forms, Google may set a cookie and receive standard technical information from your browser to make this check. This is used only for security, not for advertising. Third-Party Content
Some pages embed a Google map showing our office location (for example, our contact page and the map in the page footer). When a map loads, Google may receive standard technical information from your browser and may set its own cookies. This is controlled by Google, not by us. See Google's privacy policy for details.
How to Clear Stored Information
You can remove anything our site has stored at any time by clearing your browser's cookies and site data for this website. Your browser's help pages explain how. Clearing site data will reset any accessibility settings you saved and remove the analytics cookies described above.
Your Choices
The cookies connected to our site are the analytics and measurement cookies described above, the reCAPTCHA security cookie, and cookies set by embedded Google content such as maps. The analytics and measurement cookies are set only if you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can change that choice using the steps in the consent section above.
