Pars For a Purpose is Cancelled

Playing 500 rounds of golf in a single day is a huge challenge. Playing them during a pandemic? That’s just too much to attempt.

We have canceled this year’s Pars for a Purpose. Because of the uncertainty created by COVID-19, it will not be rescheduled.

We will miss out on the opportunity to cheer on former executive director Todd Whiteman as he hits ball after ball. But we’ll also miss out on the funding this event brings in. Last year’s Pars for a Purpose raised more than $35,000, which went straight into connecting local people with disabilities to resources and opportunities.

We are grateful to all sponsors and donors. Your support makes a difference to people right here in our community.

Our staff is still working remotely to serve individuals. Even with the restrictions in place, we are doing everything we can to help individuals and businesses build communities where everyone can participate, contribute, and belong.

Just this week, we helped:

  • a customer navigate the unemployment application process
  • several teens, stuck at home, establish a personal/homework schedule
  • an anxious customer develop a plan of action to stay safe and in control during COVID-19

DNL charges no fees to the individuals we work with. We rely on external funding and donations from individuals and businesses.

You can give online today (below) to help us continue this important work.

Acting Executive Director
